1982 - The brothers Joseph and Salvador Vilanova create a small collection of classic cars.

The first two purchased cars: Citroën-11 "Traction Avant", 1937, and Rochet-Schneider Torpedo, 1918.

1989 – Is founded the Gevicar S.A company; it already has 22 cars in the collection.

Josep Vilanova participates with the Ford V8 Cabriolet "Galgo" in the legendary Rally Barcelona-Moscow in 1934, organized by the A.C.C.C. and entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.

1992 – The collection extends with the famous Ferrari Testarossa, being a great achievement for the GV collection.

1997 - The fleet of the company consists of 34 cars. The Brothers Vilanova begin to make rentals for the television series, feature films and weddings.

2002 - Website creation: www.gevicar.es. At the head of the company becomes Albert Vilanova - the second generation of the family.

2003 - GEVICAR specializes in Luxury Car Rental without driver. GEVICAR acquires its first Ferrari F360 Modena F1 for rent, being the first Spanish company to offer this service.

2005 - GEVICAR expands its rental services without driver and opens offices in Ibiza, offering its customers the best SUV on that moment: Porsche Cayenne and Hummer H2.

2006 - GEVICAR acquires its first Aston Martin V8 Vantage in Barcelona, thus expanding its sport and luxury cars fleet.

2007 - The first club of luxury cars and exclusive services is opened, the GentlemenDrive by GEVICAR. The initial fleet consists of twelve luxury sport cars; the most notable of them: Ferrari F430 F1 Spider, Aston Martin DB9 Volante and Bentley Continental GTC.

2007 – Inauguration of the new headquarters: the showroom in Sant Cugat del Vallés and the Madrid headquarters on Costa Rica street, 12.

2008 - Gevicar creates a subsidiary in Andorra and opens an office in the center of Barcelona, on Paseo de Gracia. Also acquires the Maranello´s jewel V12 – the Ferrari 599GTB Fiorano.

2009 - GrupoGevicar-GentlemenDrive starts its internationalization with the expected opening of the headquarters in Miami (Fl, USA) in December 2009. Currently, its fleet consists of 7 models such as Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder or the new Porsche GT3.

Today Grupo Gevicar-GD consists of 24 modern and 36 classic vehicles, being the leading National Prestige Car Rental Company.
